Who Edits This Site
Editor: William D. The bylines on individual articles — Kayla Miller, Oswaldo Ruiz, and Jasmine Low — are pen names representing the site’s editorial roles, each with its own voice and focus. All published content is reviewed against primary sources by the Editor before going live, and the Editor reads every reader email and correction request directly.

Every guide and news article on this site is built from primary sources:
- IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) official program pages and operational bulletins
- The Canada Gazette (official federal regulatory announcements)
- Provincial nominee program portals and official announcements
- IRB (Immigration and Refugee Board) decisions and guidelines
- Official government press releases and news
How We Write
Our editorial process uses AI assistance in drafting, followed by human review against primary sources before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content without verification. Every factual claim is checked against the cited source before the piece goes live.
Update Policy
Immigration rules change frequently. We review and update articles when:
- IRCC announces a program change, draw result, or policy update
- A provincial nominee program modifies its streams or requirements
- A reader flags outdated information (we take corrections seriously)
- Scheduled content audits surface information that needs refreshing
Every article shows a “Last Updated” date so readers can assess freshness for themselves.

Funding & Independence
ehCanadaVisa funds itself by selling self-serve application kits — downloadable PDFs that walk readers through specific immigration processes (Express Entry, work permits, study permits, family sponsorship, citizenship, and more). Kit prices currently range from CAD $29 to $39. Kit sales are the site’s primary revenue source.
We do not accept payment from immigration consultants, immigration lawyers, RCICs, or recruiters in exchange for placement, mention, or links inside editorial content. Editorial recommendations are made on the basis of the reader’s situation, not commercial relationships. Where an affiliate link is used inside an editorial article — for a third-party tool, document service, or resource — the link is included because we believe it is useful, and affiliate relationships are disclosed in context.
