ehCanadaVisa takes accuracy seriously. Immigration information changes frequently, and errors — whether from rule changes or mistakes on our part — can cause real problems for readers. We are committed to correcting them quickly and transparently.
How to Report an Error
Use our contact form and select “Correction” as the subject. Please include:
- The article URL
- The specific statement you believe is incorrect
- A link to the primary source (IRCC page, Canada Gazette, etc.) if available
Our Response Process
We review all correction requests within 5 business days. If the correction is valid:
- We update the article immediately
- We update the “Last Updated” date
- We note the correction at the bottom of the article if the error was significant
Minor Updates vs. Corrections
Not all updates are corrections. We regularly refresh articles to reflect rule changes, new draw results, or updated processing times. These are noted as updates. Corrections are reserved for factual errors that may have misled readers.
Recent Corrections
We log non-trivial corrections here so readers can see the system working in practice.
2026-04-25 — Duplicate articles consolidated
Several topics on the site had two near-duplicate articles published days apart by different bylines, with content and titles that substantially overlapped. We’ve merged each pair into the longer, better-sourced version and 301-redirected the discontinued URLs to the canonical article. Affected topics: Healthcare Express Entry roles, Canadian Experience Class eligibility, STEM 12-month work-experience rule, Permanent Residence pathways overview, IT and tech-worker pathways, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Provincial Nominee Program overview, opening a Canadian bank account, building a Canadian credit score, the BSF186 land-border filing, and several others. Reader bookmarks of the old URLs continue to work via 301 redirects.
2026-04-25 — Broken citation link to canada.ca removed
Our article on getting foreign credentials recognized in Canada included two anchor links pointing to a canada.ca page (under /services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed/designated-organizations.html) that has been retired by the Government of Canada and now redirects to a generic 404 page. The dead link wrappers have been removed; the anchor text remains in place pending identification of current canonical IRCC pages for the same topics.
2026-04-25 — Typo in francophone-minority-stream internal link
A typo (“imigration” instead of “immigration”) in a frequently-cited internal link broke navigation in eight articles that referenced our Francophone-minority-stream guide. The typo has been corrected site-wide.
2026-04-25 — Trashed-post URL redirects added
Two URLs that previously returned 404s — /criminality-in-canada-and-immigration-consequences/ and /express-entry-category-based-selection-in-2026-what-doctors-and-researchers-should-know/ — now 301-redirect to current canonical articles on Criminal Records and Canadian Immigration, and the Express Entry researchers stream, respectively.
